Author Biography

Jacqueline Dutton, University of Melbourne

Dutton is Associate Professor in French Studies at the University of Melbourne, Australia. She has written a monograph on the 2008 Nobel Prize winner: Le Chercheur d'or et d'ailleurs: L'Utopie de JMG Le Clézio (2003) and published widely on translingual and world literatures in French, travel writing and comparative utopianism. Her co-edited book (with Peter J. Howland) entitled Wine, Terroir, Utopia: Making New Worlds (Routledge 2019) combines her germane fields of research with a more recent interest in wine humanities scholarship. She is currently writing a cultural history of the Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne wine regions.
