Author Biography

Carla Tapia Parada, Griffith University

CARLA TAPIA PARADA,  PhD., is a research assistant and professional staff member at Griffith and Macquarie Universities. She recently received the Award of Best Doctoral Dissertation by the Association of Iberian and Latin American Studies of Australasia (AILASA), received the Award of Excellence in a Research thesis and was nominated for the Chancellor’s Medal for Excellence in a PhD thesis due to her outstanding dissertation. Her project explored the relationship between activist and pedagogic work in the pursuit of social justice in Chile. Carla’s current research draws on gender, decolonial studies, critical pedagogies, Indigenous methodologies, and language pedagogies.
