Author Biography

Chantelle Warner, University of Arizona

Warner is Assistant Professor of German and a faculty member of the Interdisciplinary Program in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching at the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on literacy practices as social sites of struggle over meanings, subjectivities, and aesthetics. She is also interested in the aesthetic and affective dimensions of the reading practices of L2 users. She has published in the fields of applied linguistics, language pedagogy, stylistics, and German Studies, including a recent monograph The Pragmatics of Literary Testimony: Authenticity Effects in German Social Autobiographies.
